Fireplace 2 of 2: Living Room Fireplace | Bedroom Fireplace
Customer Comments: Need glass doors and logs to dress up two fireplaces.
Our Comments: As we discussed, the logs for your fireplace have been discontinued. I can provide some logs that you can use at your own risk. To minimize any risk that the flames will not introduce carbon monoxide into the space, you will need to position them in such a manner that the flames do not touch the logs. Aluminum Glass doors with a narrow frame can be made to fit inside the opening, leaving some of the existing black metal frame showing. Such doors will need to be open when you turn on the gas. High-End steel doors that overlap the opening will provide a clean modern look and can be burned with the doors open or closed.

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Design Specialties Stiletto Aluminum Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door in Gloss Black with Clear Glass and Aspen Logs.
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are laser cut from solid steel with a more refined finish. These doors have a special AirWash system that allows them to be burned with the doors closed.
Option #2: Hearth Creations Steel Bifold Fireplace Door with Black Frame and Polished Nickel Plated Doors with Gray Glass and Aspen Logs.
The manufacturer of the fireplace did not test it with any logs other than those that they made for this fireplace, so it is important to stack them in such a way that they are not in contact with the flames. The front and back logs must be positioned in front and behind the burner. The back log may need something to support it like a couple bricks. You will need to use some ingenuity to stack the logs properly.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
