Fireplace #1: Great Room | Fireplace #2: Trophy Room | Fireplace #3: Basement
Our Comments: Here are the mockups for the screens you requested along with some additional alterantives that I recommend. The free standing screens with doors you have selected are somewhat flimsy, particularly in larger sizes like this, and will need to be attached to prevent them from falling over when the doors are opened. For this reason, I have included some heavy duty wrought iron screen doors that are attached to the fireplace.
Fireplace Opening: 60" W x 39 3/4" H
These are the free standing screen doors you requested. These are not heavy duty and will be somewhat flimsy when made in this size. They will function just fine as long as they are attached to the fireplace with the provided hardware, but will not have a substantial feel about them. See Finish Options Here!
These heavy duty screen doors are hand crafted by a blacksmith from 1/4" thick solid wrought iron. They are extremely well made and have a heavy feel to them, yet open and close easily. See Finish and Texture Options Here!
These grates feature heavy duty 3/4" thick bars for great durability and are available in standard and custom sizes.
These wrought iron grates are hand forged by skilled craftsman at Stone Manufacturing. These are very high end and are custom made to fit almost any size fireplace using 1" bars for extreme durability. See More Custom Grates Here!
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
