Antique Brass Doors for Arched Stone Fireplace - Project #20227

Customer Comments: Looking for custom glass bi-fold style doors, antique brass type finish, handles on middle of doors ( similar to your #74 but less rustic, no rivets )

Our Comments: Example #74 is currently #5 on the Arched Glass Door Page. The rivets are used to attach the corner accents, so it cannot be made without rivets. We have a different manufacturer that makes doors from solid brass and can add the corner accents without rivets. Please see the mockups below.

Hearth Creations

These doors are made from 3/16" thick solid steel that is laser cut. Antique brass can be done using a sheet metal overlay that is wrapped around the steel frame, or the steen can be brass plated with an antqiued finish.

Iron Age 4

Option #2: Hearth Creations Iron Age 4 Arched Fireplace Glass Door with Corner Accents and Rivets in Burnished Copper with Gray Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. This is the example you liked whereyou did not want rivets. Unfortuantely, the rivets are required if you want the corner accents.

These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass. There are several antique brass finishes as shown in the swatches below. Very high end, and very refined.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
