Customer Comments: Hi Greg, I'm looking to replace the mesh curtain screen on my fireplace. The existing rings snag on the bar, so I'd like to upgrade to an I-beam track and roller system that opens and closes smoothly. The finished opening is approximately 50 inches wide by 36 inches tall, with a quartz surround. I'd like the track and mounting hardware concealed behind the top of the quartz opening, with no visible header if possible.
Our Comments: After revieing your pictures, it is not possible to completely hide the header bar behind the quartz. 1 5/8" of the header will be visible behind the quartz. I have created a mockup showing how this might look. I highly recommend using a 4 sided frame in your application to create a more finished look. There are many options for this type of screen, so I created a few mockups. I will need a picture of the room in order to create something specifically designed to work with your decor.
Fireplace Opening: 50" W x 36" H
Mesh curtains are a very traditional fireplace treatment that is both functional and convenient to use. These high-end screens have a special "Track and Roller System" that always glides smoothly and does not bind over the years like less expensive versions that have a steel curtain rod. You can have them made with just the top bar or a full framed screen. The fully framed versions create a more finished look and help prevent logs and ashes from rolling out of the fireplace onto the hearth.
These framed screens incorporate the same I-Beam track and roller system and will provide a more finished look. They are available in a wide variety of Trims and Finishes you can View Here!
