Customer Comments: Gas fireplace. I want a door with a screen and no glass.
Our Comments: Here is a good selection of mesh doors made in a variety of materials from low end to high end including: Aluminum, Formed Steel, Solid Steel, Wrought Iron and Solid Brass.
Fireplace Opening: 40.25" W x 26.75" H
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle relatively high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is not as heavy duty and rugged as steel or wrought iron, but it is the most affordable.
Option #1: Design Specialties Stiletto Cutback Aluminum Fireplace Mesh Door in Classic Bronze.
These doors are made from sheet metal steel that is bent and formed into a frame. Slightly heavier duty than the aluminum doors, but more affordable than solid steel.
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum or sheet metal doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Hand forged by a blacksmith from 1/4" thick solid wrought iron with a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship and tasteful details.
Option #4: Hand Crafted Wrought Iron Single Mesh Fireplace Door in Burnished Medium Bronze.
Option #5: Hand Crafted Wrought Iron Fireplace Mesh Door with Scroll Detail in Hammered Medium Bronze.
These doors are hand crafted from solid brass by skilled artisans at Stone Manufacturing. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. View Stone Manufacturing Trims and Finishes Here!
