Customer Comments: This is a wood fireplace with gas logs. He would like to order a glass door for his fireplace. The doors need to be able to open for when he uses his gas logs. But need to be closed during non-burning times. The granite facing opening with dimensions 36x28.5.
Our Comments: Below are a some examples of glass doors that can be made to fit the Heatilator I60 fireplace in a variety of materials and price ranges.
Gas Log Warning: To prevent the burner and pilot mechanism from overheating causing safety issues, vented gas logs must be burned with glass doors open. The Modern-1 door is an exception to this rule as it can be made with a special Gas Log AirWash system that allows you to close the doors while burning a vented gas logs. Vent Free gas logs cannot have glass doors closed under any circumstances. Read more below.

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle relatively high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is not as heavy duty and rugged as steel or wrought iron, but it is the most affordable.

These ultra high end sliding doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass. The two outer glass panes are fixed and the inner panes slide left and right to open and close. This is ideal for fireplaces raised in the wall where you do not want the doors sticking out when they are open.
