Metal Trim for Gas Fireplace with Shiplap Wall - Project #21293

Customer Comments: Hi Greg- we have white wood shiplap on our wall and grey tiles immediately around the fireplace (wood burning). I want to leave the white wood shiplap on the wall: but replace the grey tile surround with a black shiplap that is safe to have butt up to the wood fireplace. Is your aluminum shiplap (matte black in color) safe and can we order an amount that works for this space? A picture is included.

Our Comments: We can do black shiplap around the opening, but I recommend a plain metal surround rather than metal shiplap. The metal shiplap will mosts likely not line up correctly with your wood and will stand out further since it has a specific mounting system. Here are some mockups showing both options.
