Custom Curtain Screens for Painted White Stone Zero Clearance Fireplace - Project #21261

Customer Comments: Hello. I’d like to get some estimates on fireplace screens. Similar to Project #21238 with a top and bottom bar. Thank you.

Our Comments: Inside mount fireplace curtains like you see on project #21238 are designed to be installed on masonry fireplaces where there is a steel lintel under the stones that is at least 3" deep. You have a zero clearance fireplace and the stone is a facade, so there is no place to attach the header bar. You can still have mesh curtains, but they will be slightly different. You can use an outside or free standing frame screen. I have created mockups showing both of these options. Be sure to read the captions ABOVE the mockups so you understand what is being illustrated.

Outside Mount Curtain Screns

Outside mount curtain screens have a 1 3/4" angle iron that is attached directly to the stone by drilling holes in the stone and using masonry anchors (included). The bottom bar is a the same, but upside down and gets bolted directly to the stones in a similar manner.

Free Standing Frame Screens

Free standing mesh curtain frame screens have a 1 3/4" angle frame with legs so they can simply stand in front of the fireplace. These can be made from black steel or solid brass as shown.
