Customer Comments: Gas inside fireplace. Opening is 30" tall and 60" wide. This has a starter box on right side corner, in firebox. Uneven hearth. Might benefit from being attached to stone wall, with an option to open right side to turn on?
Our Comments: Some of the free standing screens below have adjustable feet that will help them stand on a somewhat uneven surface with up to 1/4" variance. The attached doors will be more secure, but will have more obstruction.

Hand forged by a blacksmith from 1/4" thick solid wrought iron with heavy duty gasketed doors for a tighter seal and maximum draft reduction. Not only are these built to be used, they take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship and tasteful details. These doors are most commonly ordered with ceramic glass for burning fires with the doors closed.

Shown Above: Grand Canyon 30 Inch Lava Gas Logs with GloFire Technology. These are the only logs on the market with burners cast inside the logs so flames come directly out of the logs themselves. They are by far the most realistic gas logs on the market, but also one of the most expensive.
Free standing fireplace screens are normally made with back feet or rear stabilizers to allow the screen to stand on its own when you set it aside to tend the fire, or in cases where you want the screen to fit inside the fireplace opening.
Normally, we suggest making a free standing screen 1" larger than the opening on the top and each side so it can fit flat against the fireplace opening for the best spark protection. When a fireplace opening is raised off the ground, the rear stabilizers will prevent the screen from fitting flat against the fireplace causing it to stand out 3" to 6" in front of the opening. In such cases, we recommend having the screen made least 3" wider on the top and each side than the fireplace opening to help prevent sparks from popping out.
These rare discontinued items were acquired from Stone Manufacturing by Fireplace Treatments when they closed down their Gardena manufacturing facility. They are being sold at half price while supplies last. Most of these items have only 1 or 2 left, so you can be one of the last people in the USA to own one of these rare gems.
