Custom Screens and Spark Guards for Plaster Fireplace with Rounded Corners - Project #21247

Customer Comments: Hello, This fireplace has a irregular plaster surround wall. Interior dimensions are approximately 37 1/2" tall x 39 1/2" - 40" wide. The house is a converted wood frame barn. Simple rustic design in black is preferred. The banding should be wide enough to accommodate (hide behind) the irregular edges.

Our Comments: My recommendation would be to use a bowed screen or spark guard that does not hide the plaster opening as it is an integral part of the charm of this fireplace. Below are several examples along with one that covers the plaster as you requested. These can all be made in a black finish, but a dark bronze might look better with the existing hardware.
