Customer Comments: Hello Greg, Here’s some photos of the fireplace and we would love your advice on what would be the best way to replace this system. You can see that the original fire screen holder is a track system, the hooks to attach the screen will require some work to attach it. Not sure if we should just replace the whole thing? What do you think and let me know if need more photos.
Our Comments: Below is an example of the I-Beam track and roller system I recommend for this application. This will ensure the mesh curtains slide smoothly for years to come. The valance would be made using a 1 1/2" angle iron that is mounted to the top stone.

These high-end mesh curtains have a special "Track and Roller System" that always glides smoothly and does not bind over the years like less expensive versions that have a steel curtain rod. The valance is a 1 1/2" angle iron with end caps, so it attches to the outside of the fireplace. The valance can be made from steel or solid brass in a variety of Finishes and Trims.
Option #1: Stone Manufacturing C92 Steel Outside Mount Mesh Curtains with Track and Roller System in Black.
Option #2: Stone Manufacturing C92 Steel Outside Mount Mesh Curtains with Track and Roller System in Oil Rubbed Steel with Rivets .
Option #3: Stone Manufacturing C92 Solid Brass Outside Mount Mesh Curtains with Track and Roller System in Aged Brass.
Option #4: Stone Manufacturing C92 Solid Brass Outside Mount Mesh Curtains with Track and Roller System and #33 Rope Casting Trin in Aged Brass.
The I-Beam track with rollers makes it possible to have a bar and mesh over 48" wide that does not sag. It also slides more easily with larger fireplaces.
W: Measure the width of the top header stone. We will make the valance about 1/2" smaller than this width.Hearth Creations Finishes

Photo #2: With your back to the fireplace, take a picture looking straight out into the room so we can see the decor directly in front of the fireplace.
