Customer Comments: Need a spark guard screen for the attached 56" tall 45"wide

Our Comments: Here are some ideas for various screens that can be made to fit your fireplace and compliment your decor. I have included some spectacular accessories to finish the look. My strongest recommendation are the attached screen doors. They are much more convenient as they do not need to be set aside when tending the fire.

Option #3: Hand Crafted Wrought Iron Bowed Spark Guard with Curtain Screens in Black. The Bowed Ends Have Flat Wire Mesh and the Center has Sliding Mesh Curtains. No need to move the screen out the way when tending the fire.

Option #5: Hand Crafted Wrought Iron Single Panel Screen with Scrollwork in Burnished Black. If rear legs are added, the screen will stand 6" away from the fireplace. If you want the screen to stand flush with the fireplace, the rear legs can be removed, but you must lean it against the wall when tending the fire.

Recommended Treatments

I suggest attached fireplace doors for this application. They are very practical since you do not have to set them off to the side when tending the fire. They also provide a very flush clean look.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
