Custom Made Solid Brass Fireplace Screens for 5 Fireplaces - Project #20714

Customer Comments: I have 5 fireplaces that need screens. I am interested in solid brass. I am leaning towards the following, if you can provide your recommendations as well as mockups:

Living Room: Egg & Dart (polished brass)
Kitchen: Egg & Dart (antique brass)
Library: Laurel Leaf (antique brass)
Game Room: Laurel Leaf (polished brass)
Master Bedroom: Laurel Leaf (antique brass)

Our Comments: I like your choices for all of the rooms except the living room, so I added a few more options for that fireplace. The living room needs something a bit more spectacular to balance it out since the mirror is wider than the fireplace opening.

Important Note: This manufacturer is retiring their business and has stopped taking orders as of 10/3/2025. I went ahead and created these mockups in hopes they will take this one final order for 5 fireplace screens.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
