Customer Comments: Hi there - Looking for a custom screen in the #7 Gold Screen Door with Straps and Diamond Pattern. Size of the firebox is 5'-7"w x 2'-11"h. We only have about 2 inches on each side of additional space. Please let me know what else is needed in order to receive a quote for out client. Thank you. We are looking at doing the Attached option in here.

Our Comments: The diamond pattern is laser cut and can be made to whatever dimensions you prefer. Here are a couple mockups showing a small and larger diamond pattern.

Customer Comments: Looking at a screen for an outdoor fireplace now and want to understand my options. Dimensions of firebox: 3'-11"w x 3'-1.5"h I know the client definitely wants an attached, mesh screen. Possibly the C92 Plain Bar or the C92-F92 Plain Top/Bottom Bar. Finish will be a Baked Enamel Finish likely in Dark Bronze Metallic. I see handle options on your website but just want to confirm - Do we have options for the handles in this type of application? If not what does the standard handle look like? I look forward to your feedback! Thank you!

For outdoor applications, we use a combination of solid brass and stainless steel components designed to handle the excess moisture. If you need matching accessories, the fireplace tools are solid brass and the grate is zinc coated wrought iron.

Custom Wrought Iron Grate

The mockups are shown with a wrought custom wrought iron grate. The grate in the mockups is the incorrect size due to limitations with the mockups. We will need the back width and depth of the fireplaces to determine the proper size. Below is a 10 bar 48" grate. For outdoors, the grate is zinc coated.

Tassel Options

Round, Urn, Square and French tassles are solid brass and can be made to match the finish of the header bar. Wand Tassels are black steel. 8" Wand tassels are recommended when using I-Beam track with rollers. Wrought Iron Twist tassels can be made to match wrought iron finishes. Standard tassels are round if not specified.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.

Glass Options

Tempered vs Ceramic Glass: Tempered glass can handle sustained temperatures up to about 450F without breaking from heat and should be at least 8" from the flames. Ceramic glass can handle sustained temperatures up to about 1450F and be in direct contact with the flames. If you wish to burn fires with the doors closed, I highly recommend upgrading to ceramic glass. Ceramic glass is $800-$2000 more than tempered glass depending on the manufacturer.

Not all doors are available with all of these glass options.
