Screen Options for Modern Fireplace with Concrete Surround - Project #20272
Customer Comments: We have a fireplace (gas) that is 44 in wide and 30 in tall. We are trying to find something that fits. There is one screen that we like, but it has the "round" mesh. Can we get a different mesh?
Our Comments: All of the screens on my website are custom made and there are many options, so it is likely the answer is yes. Let me know what screen you liked and I will let you know. In the meantime, here are some ideas for your fireplace.

Rear Stabilizer & Brackets
Rear Stabilizers

Example #1: Rear Stabilizers. These allow the screen to stand on its own without having to lean against the fireplace. They are necessary for when you need to set the screen aside to tend the fire and for inside fitting screens.
Back Bracket

Example #2: Stone Manufacturing makes Rear Stabilizer Brackets. These get bolted to the hearth and the rear stabilizers slip under them and the screw is tightened to hold the screen in place. These are designed to prevent free standing screens with doors from falling over when the doors are opened. If you wish to eliminate the feet on the front side of a single panel screen, we can use these. You would bolt down the back brackets and stabilizers, then screw the screen to the stabilizers from the front side. There would be two visible screws on the front side of the screen for each of the stabilizers. This is not a practical solution unless you have a remote controlled gas log that rarely need access.

Glass Door Mesh Options
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
