Glass Doors for Large Black Brick Fireplace - Project #11354

Customer Comments: Hello, I'd like to a get a quote for doors to go with the fireplace in the attached photos. The fireplace is very large with black brick, so I would want the doors to be all black, single doors (vs bifold), and simple. I would like internal fireplace screen doors if possible.

The opening dimensions are: Inside: 60.25" W x H: 35.25" H

My chimney guy also took outside dimensions because he explained the set would overlay on the front and be attached on the inside. Those dimensions are: 65"W x 28" H

I'd be curious to understand the rough costs of what I’m wanting and the time needed to produce it before I decide to move ahead. Thank you.

Our Comments: As mentioned in our email response, cabenet doors are not possible on a fireplace this large, so we are showing options with bifolding doors. We will discuss the size and price over the phone as there seems to be some discrepency in the measurements.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
