Customer Comments: Below is a picture of some of the decor. Fixtures has black and some brass accents. The measurements are 25"w x 29"h. I'm thinking black doors would be best but up to suggestions.
Our Comments: Looks like some form of black is the best choice, whether it be flat black, textured black or antqiue black. Because the fireplace is very narrow, we have included some choices with wider frames designed to overlap the top slightly and overlap the sides a lot more to bring the fireplace into a better proportion. The steel doors can be made with custom width frames to accomplish this.

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Option #5: Design Specialties Hudson Roller Fireplace Door with Extra Wide Side Frame in Antique Iron. Designers Note: I especially like this door for your application. It seems to fit your decor the best and solves the proportion issue while allowing you to place things on the hearth without them being in the way of doors that must swing open.
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
