Customer Comments: Hey Greg, Thank You for your response about the fireplace screen I inquired about. I have attached a couple of pictures below. The fireplace is outside in a pavilion. The exact measurements of the opening are 66” W x 37 1/2” H. I know you said in your email that there could be issues with stability. I want something with a door or doors. The rocks on the fireplace are fake, so I'm not sure about attaching/securing it to them. Anyways any ideas or suggestions, I'm open to them & appreciate your help. Hope to hear from you soon!
Our Comments: There is no issue attaching doors to your fireplace. They come with brackets that mount to the bricks inside using typical masonry sinkers. The main issue will be using a material that can hold up outdoors without rusting and degrading quickly. The options below are made from Stainless Steel or Zinc Coated Wrought Iron. These are quite a bit more expensive than typical doors, but they will hold up over time. You will also want to consider using bifold doors instead of 2 cabinet doors since the cabinet doors fold out twice as wide. We are showing both options.

Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
