Additional Customer Comments: Thank you so much for this as it gives me a good starting point. I can tell you that my house leans modern so I like the last one best because it’s not ornate. I would really like something plain and simple so the focus is the tile work. The finish samples: I assume any screen can be made with any finish? The rest of the room / house is polished nickel. Can I see something with that?
Option #7: 1P10M Narrow Frame Fireplace Screen with CT6H Fireplace Tools and CN2 Beveled Andirons in Polished Chrome.
Option #8: CFR85 Fireplace Frame Screen with CT6H Fireplace Tools and MAN-10 Contemporary Andirons in Polished Chrome.
Option #9: CFR85-FS9 Fireplace Frame Screen with 2" Diameter Split Tube Keystone Surround and CT6H Fireplace Tools in Polished Chrome.
Option #10: Stiletto Cutback Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel Aluminum with UN-F-7543 Steel Fireplace Tools in Satin Pewter (Discontinued).
Option #11: Inside Fitting Edge Door - Chrome Plated Solid Brass with Mesh Curtains. This door would fit inside the opening and the front edge would butt up against the back edge of the hearth. There will be gaps in the serrations of the tile that you may decide to fill with grout. I selected this model because it allows the wavy edges of the opening to be exposed. The aluminum door that I also suggested can be made to fit inside the opening like this as well as any other door. This particular door has the frame on edge instead of facing out, so it really has a very minimalist appearance.
Option #12: Frameless Door - Chrome Plated Solid Brass with Mesh Curtains. This door can be made to overlap the opening anywhere from 1/4" to 1" or can be made to fit inside the opening.
Previous Customer Comments: Hello, I am looking for a screen that doesn't cover up the beautiful marble. 32" W x 27.5" tall. Also not wanting wright iron as this room has been remodeled with silver accents.
Our Comments: Here are some options in various price ranges to get you started.
Fireplace Opening: 32" W x 27 1/2" H
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
