When it comes to fireplace mesh curtains for fireplaces, nobody makes them better than Stone Manufacturing. Not only do they have an extremely wide selection of bar styles and finishes, the mechanisms they use are designed to keep the mesh sliding easily for decades. They also have an I-Beam track and roller system for large fireplaces that will not sag due to the heavy weight of the mesh. Recessed screens have a bar attached to the inside the top of the fireplace opening that holds the curtain rod and sliding mesh curtains. You can add a bottom bar (F92) to keep logs from rolling out and a Pet Deterrent Channel to prevent pets and children from getting in. These are available in a wide variety of Trims & Finishes

Smoke Guard Option: If you have a smokey fireplace, a wider header bar will act as a smoke guard and screen combined. You will see several options of this below, but most of the bar and mesh options shown on this page can be made with wider bars.

Closet mount screens have a curtain rod that mounts inside the fireplace on the sides, while a drapery mount screen mounts on the outside of the fireplace.
Round, Urn, Square and French tassles are solid brass and can be made to match the finish of the header bar. Wand Tassels are black steel. 8" Wand tassels are recommended when using I-Beam track with rollers. Wrought Iron Twist tassels can be made to match wrought iron finishes. Standard tassels are round if not specified.

The I-Beam Track and Roller system is specifically designed for large fireplaces, typically over 48" wide or tall. The I-Beam is rigid and does not sag under the weight of the mesh like a typical mesh curtain rod. It is installed in the same manner as a normal bar and mesh except that instead of having rings that loop over a curtain rod, there are rollers that slide onto the track.

The Pet Deterrent Channel illustrated above helps prevent pets and small children from pushing the mesh mesh inward and getting into the fireplace. This can be added to the F92 bottom bar, which also prevents logs from rolling out into the fireplace. When installing a bar and mesh, it is always a great idea to add the matching F92 bottom bar with the Pet Deterrent Channel.
These frame screens are hand crafted by skilled artisans at Stone Manufacturing. Most of the custom screens shown here are made from finest quality virgin brass and then finished to perfection using proprietary techniques that create a jewel like finish. There are no finer quality fireplace screens available. Frame screens are often used with a Chenet or Andirons as shown below.
